i know i'm going to get trashed for saying this but i will
i'm not an Obama "hater" but i just couldn't side with his policy
and life will change for many of those who supported mccain - and i DID
there i said it I may be the only one, but it's whats in my heart
when i was younger my family foreclosed on a house got a car repossessed, basically lost everything and my parents had two kids under two years old and they had to move back in with their parents
since then my dad has worked his ass off every single day
working for the shittiest boss every day for 15 years to finally be able to go out on his own and start his own business
he works for himself so he's never truly off the clock - every day he drives all over the state of florida for his job - he does absolutely everything himself

but now what sucks, just because my dad's business does well, (he's not sitting on his butt every having others do jobs for him every day but he works his ass off for 10 to 15 hours a day) his taxes are going to shoot through the roof

it's not like he makes millions of dollars every year - no where near that - but he makes enough to make life comfortable
i know many people need and live on wellfare, but there are hundreds of thousands that abuse the system
what upsets me is that because my dad works 15 hours a day to make a good living for his family he's going to be taxed even more so that stimulus checks can be given to those who don't even pay taxes

i know no one wants to hear it or don't want to believe it but if you've ever taken an economics class they'll tell you that "fiscal policy" (if you don't know what it is look it up) is only a band aid and can never truly repair an economy in ruins it must be combined with monetary policy (generally viewed to be a conservative economic policy) to permanently help the economy

i hope that obama realizes that not everyone that makes more than 200,000 a year is a corrupt business dealer
i believe big business needs some monitoring to prevent the corruption that got us into this mess
i am not for redistribution of wealth - so many americans work so hard for their money, not to have it taken away and giving it away to those who don't work
i live in miami - one of the most, if not the most, ethnically diverse city in the country, and every day i watch people of all backgrounds not working and collecting unemployment and wellfare when they are perfectly able to work at the expense of people like my father that work their ass off every day

i'm not mad that Obama is president, he's who the majority of people wanted
but i hope he opens up and looks at some issues from the other side of the spectrum
